Comin' Home

Waiting at Boston Logan Airport for the departure of my flight, I gazed out of the huge panels of glass onto the runway and saw so many things and such that help the airport function. But the one thing that stood out to me while looking out was the American flag waving strong. It's not really a necessary part of an airport, but it is. It symbolizes so much to us-freedom, pride, just an appreciation for all the soldiers who have given years of their lives or maybe even their lives to defend our great country. As a stared at the flag, I was overcome with thankfulness. Thankfulness in the depths of my heart, that I am an American, for my co-worker, Carrie's son, Scott, who is in Iraq fighting for my freedom, and just for my life-for my family that God chose us to have relationship with Him and that we are not alone. I am sooo thankful that I have a wonderful family to come home to. I've missed them and am looking forward to seeing my little boys faces and hugging them.
