Friday, the 3rd day of our trip, was definitely our most exciting! We hung out all morning and then took naps and just read. After naps were over, we heard Jackson fussing up stairs. So when I went to open the door, it was locked. The Colorado house is a historic house and not one with locks that are easy to open. After troubleshooting, I called my cousin, Shelley, who experienced the same drama just last summer with her 3 year old. They scaled the roof to get him out so we decided to go the fire department route. YEP, we called the SFD and they brought their very tall ladder and thankfully one of the windows was unlocked under the locked shudders. I was so thankful that a window or door didn't have to be broken down.

After the drama, my friend, Scarlett and her husband, Robert came down from Boulder to see us and we all went to the Boat House for dinner and drinks. It was a great close to a crazy day.
